Message There is a very marked difference with the lower gearing.

While I agree it is beneficial to experience the drive before purchasing, sometimes that is not an available option. Sometimes one can only go on the opinions off people with relevant experience on the subject. So far, I have not seen anyone who is not happy with the driveability of the Leader gears, and some of the intermittent minor noise issues are currently being addressed.

As for my car being noisy, my issue turned out to be a bad differential, which I have since replaced. My car is quite comfortable now, though. This is all a moot point however, since I have an NA differential, not Leader gear equipped TT. The conversation you mentioned may have been in regards to another component, such as solid subframe bushings.
